Dealer finance and vendor finance: what’s the difference?

Understand the two sides of a corporate supply chain and where financing fits.

One relationship, different needs

A corporate may sell goods through a network of dealers and buy goods from a network of suppliers. Both sides have working-capital needs, but the invoice and repayment flow differ.

Dealer finance starts with a purchase

A dealer buys from a corporate. Under CredInnov’s proposed model, the dealer requests financing against an accepted invoice. Following approval, CredInnov pays the corporate and the dealer repays on the agreed date.

Vendor finance starts with a sale

A vendor supplies a corporate and raises an invoice. When the corporate accepts and confirms that invoice, the proposed model allows CredInnov to pay the vendor. The corporate then pays CredInnov on the due date.

Start with your actual transaction

When enquiring, explain whether you buy from or supply a corporate, describe the relationship and identify the invoice requirement. Availability and terms remain subject to the team’s confirmation.
